PURPOSE: A system for preventing illegal copy of software and a method thereof are provided to use a Zigbee device by using a USB(Universal Serial Interface) port when a serial port does not exist, thereby improving availability in comparison with a hardware lock method. CONSTITUTION: A terminal(110) installs and executes authentication object software. A first Zigbee device(120) is connected to the terminal and stores unique numbers. A second Zigbee device(130) is wirelessly connected to the first Zigbee device and stores the unique number of the first Zigbee device. The first Zigbee device randomly extracts one of unique numbers and generates an authentication request message by encoding the unique number. The first Zigbee device transmits the authentication request message to the second Zigbee device.
