PURPOSE: A retaining structure and a construction method thereof are provided to improve rigidity and impermeable functions by installing a steel plate for blocking a gap between H-steel beams. CONSTITUTION: A retaining structure comprises multiple H-steel beams(10), a steel plate(30), and multiple upper guides. The steel plate is stuck on the ground to block a gap between the H-steel beams. The upper guides are mounted on the upper end of the H-steel beams to narrow the gap caused by differences between the width of an insertion groove(11) of the H-steel beams and the thickness of the steel plate. The upper guides guide the insertion of the steel plate inserted into the insertion groove of the H-steel beams so that the steel plate can be prevented forward and backward shaking. Guide protrusions are formed in left and right lower ends inserted into the insertion groove of the H-steel beam. The guide protrusions prevent forward and backward shaking of the steel plate by narrowing the gap caused by differences between the width of the insertion groove of the H-steel beams and the thickness of the steel plate. |
