PURPOSE: A slewing bearing driving apparatus for an excavator is provided to smoothly rotate a bearing and to prevent damage to the bearing. CONSTITUTION: A slewing bearing driving apparatus for an excavator comprises a gear housing(110), a driving gar(120), a driving motor(130), a bearing(140), and a bearing fixing part(150). The gear housing is coupled to an upper plate of tongs. The driving gear is engaged with a slewing bearing which rotates the tongs. The driving motor is connected to the driving gear to rotate the driving gear. The bearing supports the rotation of the driving gear. The bearing fixing part fixes the bearing to prevent conact between outer wheel of the bearing and the driving gear, and an inner wheel(143) of the bearing and the gear housing.
