PURPOSE: An accommodating device for portable electronic devices and an electronic device control method using the same are provided to control the portable electronic device by using an input unit formed on one or more surfaces of the containing device. CONSTITUTION: A portable electronic device(200) is installed in an accommodating unit(107). The accommodating unit of the portable electronic device includes an external input unit and a connection unit(130). The external input unit is formed on one or more external surfaces of the accommodating unit. The connection unit is connected to the portable electronic device. The external input unit includes a rear input unit and a side input unit(120). The external input unit includes a touch sensor.
