SLIDING ELEMENT WITH DLC COATING

摘要

PURPOSE: A sliding element with a DLC(Diamond Like Carbon) coating is provided to have a low frictional coefficient and a high abrasion resistance, thereby preventing severe damages even though a surface of an operation partner is not even. CONSTITUTION: A material(14) softer than DLC is embedded on a surface of a DLC coating(12) where a sliding partner and a sliding element contacts. The sliding element is slid on the sliding partner. The soft material is softer than the DLC coating includes metal or a metal oxide, especially iron or an iron-chrome compound, or an oxide thereof.
