PURPOSE: A gerotor oil pump and a designing method thereof are provided to apply a poly circle and a cycloid shape advantageous to a sliding rate of an inner rotor and an outer rotor, thereby improving the abrasion resistance. CONSTITUTION: A gerotor oil pump designing method comprises; a step for designing an inner rotor by combining a hypo-cycloid curve, a poly circle curve, and an epicycloidal curve; and a step for designing an outer rotor by circulating an outer trace by using an inner shape. An inner rotor designing method comprises; a step for calculating a constitutive equation of the hypo-cycloid curve with respect to a section from an auxiliary spot to a preset spot base on a semi-pitch section of the inner rotor; a step for calculating the epicycloidal curve with respect to a section over the preset setting spot, and a step for inducing a curved boundary condition equation in which coordinate values of a connection portion of the hypo-cycloid curve and the poly circle curve, a connection portion of the poly circle and the epicycloidal curve are identical. |
