摘要

PURPOSE: A display device is provided to reduce power consumption by detecting current with a power wire connected to a display panel and inserting black data for controlling a data signal to be randomly black when detected current exceeds reference current. CONSTITUTION: A driving part drives a display panel(150). A current detecting part(170) detects current flowing through a power line connected to the display panel. The current detecting part determines whether detected current exceeds a current limit value. A timing control part(120) controls a driving part. The timing control part operates in a power limit mode when the detected current exceeds the current limit value.
