PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for adjusting the swerving of hot-rolled sheets are provided to stably control the swerving amount of hot-rolled sheets because the reduction force of the hot-rolled sheets is controlled after determining whether or not hot-rolled materials are swerved, thereby producing high quality hot-rolled sheets. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for adjusting the swerving of hot-rolled sheets comprises a thickness measuring part(10), a reduction driving part(30), and a control part(20). The thickness measuring part measures the thickness of a work side and a drive side of hot-rolled sheets. The reduction driving part generates a reduction force to the work side and the drive side of a rolling stand. The control part determines the swerving direction of the hot-rolled sheets and controls the reduction force of the reduction driving part.
