PURPOSE: A method for proliferating BHK-21 cells using gender-specific serum is provided to economically and effectively produce a vaccine for preventing foot-and-mouth disease. CONSTITUTION: A method for proliferating BHK-21 cells using gender-specific serum comprises: a step of preparing blood from mammals; a step of centrifuging the blood, and incubating; a step of collecting supernatants from the blood, and quickly freeze-drying; a step of thawing the supernatants, and centrifuging; a step of inactivating and filtering the supernatant.
