PURPOSE: Granular media and a purifying apparatus using the same are provided to expand the replacing cycle of the granular media and to improve the abrasion resistance characteristic of the granular media. CONSTITUTION: Granular media(7) is based on ceramics. The diameters of the granular media are between 2.0 and 25mm. The apparent specific gravities of the granular media in dried state are in a range between 1.03 and 2.75. The apparent specific gravities of the granular media in dried state are capable of being in a range between 1.03 and 2.75, and the granular media is based on the mixture of synthetic resin and ceramic powder. The ceramics are based on sand, gravel, anthracite, float stone, or glass. |
