<p>PURPOSE: A liquid crystal display is provided to simultaneously secure a high contrast ratio and a wide viewing angle by controlling the arrangement and shape of a first pixel electrode and a second pixel electrode. CONSTITUTION: Branch parts(191a2,191b2,191b4) of a first pixel electrode and a second pixel electrode are alternatively arranged and engaged. An interval between adjacent branch parts is wide in a low gray scale area. The interval between the adjacent branch parts is narrow in a high gray scale area. The high gray scale area is located in the center of a pixel area and is surrounded by the low gray scale area. Liquid crystal molecules of a liquid crystal layer are variously tilted by diversifying an interval between the first pixel electrode and the second pixel electrode in one pixel.</p>
