PURPOSE: An emergency information providing system using NFC(Near Field Communication) and a method thereof are provided for a user NFC terminal to automatically provide the location and terminal information of the user NFC terminal to a control server by tagging an information tag through the NFC and for the control server to check the current location of the user NFC terminal on a regular basis, thereby instantly informing the control server or a controlling center of an emergency situation which a user faces through a communication channel. CONSTITUTION: An emergency information providing system using NFC includes an information tag(100), a user NFC terminal(200) and a control server(300). The information tag attached to a location signpost includes a location signpost information. The user NFC terminal receives the location signpost information from the information tag, analyzes the location signpost information and communicates with the control server. The control server communicates with the user NFC terminal, checks the location of the user NFC terminal, generates a user location information, connects to an HLR(Home Location Register) server(500) or an LBS(Location Based Service) server(600) on a regular basis using the terminal information, checks the current location of the user NFC terminal, and transmits the current location to a controlling server(400).
