PURPOSE: A device for estimating global motions among images in an HDR(High Dynamic Range) image system and a method thereof are provided to prevent generation of an afterimage in an HDR image composite. CONSTITUTION: An image obtainment unit(310) obtains two or more images or image frames used for an HDR image composite. A brightness measurement unit(320) measures brightness values of total pixels for different image frames. A brightness correction unit(330) corrects brightness among the image frames. A motion estimation unit(340) estimates global motions among the image frames of which the brightness is identical.
