PURPOSE: A planetary gear train of the automatic transmission of a vehicle is provided to improve power transferring performance and fuel efficiency by implementing the transmission of eighth speed and reverse second speed by the combination of multiple planetary gear sets and multiple friction members. CONSTITUTION: An input shaft(IS) receives the rotation power of an engine. An output member(OG) outputs gear shifted rotation power. A compound planetary gear set(CPG) comprises a first sun gear(S1), a second sun gear(S2), a share planetary carrier(PC12), a share ring gear(R12) of a ravigneaux type with first and second planetary gear sets(PG1, PG2). A third planetary gear set(PG3) comprises a third sun gear, a third planetary carrier, and a planetary gear set comprising a third ring gear. A first rotation member(TM1) comprises the second sun gear. A second rotation member(TM2) comprises the share planetary carrier. A third rotation member(TM3) comprises the share ring gear. The third rotation member is connected to the output member and operates as a final output member. A fourth rotation member(TM4) comprises the first line gear. A fifth rotation member(TM5) comprises a third ring gear(R3). The fifth rotation member is connected directly to the input shaft. A sixth rotation member(TM6) comprises the third planetary carrier. A seventh rotation member(TM7) comprises a third sun gear(S3). Six friction members(C1~C4,B1~B2) include clutches, and brakes. |
