The light emitting diode assembly relates to lighting technology and increases the manufacturability of the structure, provides reliable connection to an electrical network and reduces operating costs. The assembly comprises a light emitting diode lamp with a socket, a current source situated at a distance from the light emitting diode lamp, and a lamp holder. The connecting surfaces of the socket and the holder form a rotating pair, the movable component of which is provided with a means for fixing the mutual position of the components of the rotating pair, wherein the holder comprises a hollow inner cylinder situated inside a hollow outer cylinder, the closed end of which has a first contact element mounted thereon in such a way as to be connectable with a remote power supply; a second contact element is mounted on the lateral surface of the aforesaid cylinder in such a way as to be able to enter into direct or indirect electrical contact with the remote power supply.
