<p>An optical pickup device comprises a single objective lens (1) for collecting optical beams and irradiating an optical disk with the collected beam and an objective lens actuator (29) for driving the objective lens (1). The objective lens actuator (29) has a lens holder (2) for holding the objective lens (1). Two gaps (Ga, Gb) are formed between the lens holder (2) and the objective lens (1). In an x-y plane where the center of the objective lens (1) is set as the origin, the tracking direction is set as the y-axis, and the tangential direction of the track in the optical disk is set as the x-axis, the gap (Ga) is located at least in the first quadrant of the x-y plane and the gap (Gb) is located at least in the third quadrant of the x-y plane.</p> |
