The present invention relates to a cylinder lubricant for a crosshead diesel engine. In addition to conventional characteristics such as heat tolerance, cleaning performance, and wear resistance, said cylinder lubricant can handle fuels containing any amount of sulfur and minimizes the amount of piston deposition even with excess basicity. More specifically, the present invention relates to a cylinder-lubricant composition for a crosshead diesel engine, said cylinder-lubricant composition being characterized in that: the cylinder-lubricant composition contains an ashless dispersant (B) and a metal-based cleaning agent (C) in a lubricant base oil (A); the product of the number-average molecular weight, the content, and the effective concentration of the ashless dispersant (B) is at least 9,000; and the endothermic peak temperature of the metal-based cleaning agent (C) as measured by DSC at a temperature-increase rate of 50°C/min is 460°C or lower.
