FABRIC CONTAINING CARBON FIBER AND STEERING WHEEL WITH HEATING FUNCTION USING THE SAME

PURPOSE: A heating element for a steering wheel using carbon fibers is provided to reduce the thickness and to improve heating efficiency. CONSTITUTION: A heating element for a steering wheel(500) comprises carbon fibers(540) which are arranged on the surface or inside of the fabric pad having 0.4-2.0 mm of thickness in 0.4-5mm of interval. The fabric pad is formed of flame retardant fibers. The carbon fibers are woven together with the flame retardant fibers and are stitched on the surface of the fabric pad. A heating steering wheel comprises: a rim part(510) coated with synthetic resin(520); the heating element(530) covering a part of the rim part; a power applying unit(550) which is connected to the heating element; and a coating material covering the surface of the heating element.
