<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a controller for controlling the operation of an electric appliance on the basis of power consumption. <P>SOLUTION: A home controller 100 includes: input interfaces 1031, 1041 for receiving an operation to control the operation of an electric appliance; an output interface 1021 for outputting information; and a CPU 110 for controlling the electric appliance through the use of the target of power consumption in the electric appliance and a tolerance larger than the target. The CPU 10 estimates the power consumption of the electric appliance when the operation is controlled in accordance with the operation received by the input interfaces, outputs alarm via the output interface when the estimated power consumption is determined to be larger than the target, and restricts the operation of the electric appliance in accordance with the received operation when the power consumption is determined to be larger than the tolerance. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
