<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique to enable recording of the high recording quality, even if the recording of the image interrupted once, in a composition to perform auxiliary discharge to the recording medium in parallel with recording of the image to the recording medium. <P>SOLUTION: The recording device includes: a recording density deciding means for deciding the recording density of the auxiliary discharge performed in recording of an image on the recording medium at the start of recording of the image; a comparison means for comparing the recording density of the auxiliary discharge before the interruption that is performed before the interruption with the recording density of the auxiliary discharge after the interruption that is performed at the restart of recording the image, when the recording of an image is interrupted while the image is being recorded on the recording medium; and an auxiliary discharge control means to perform auxiliary discharge, while moving closer to the recording density of the auxiliary discharge after the interruption from the recording density of the auxiliary discharge before the interruption with the predetermined amount step by step, when recording to the recording area that becomes an interruption boundary when the recording densities before and after the auxiliary discharge are different as a result of the comparison. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
