<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic faucet for avoiding the event that a detecting sensor detects steam to cause unexpected erroneous water discharge, when discharging hot water. <P>SOLUTION: The automatic faucet includes a discharge port for discharging hot water supplied from a water supply passage, a solenoid valve connected to the water supply passage, hot water discharge detecting means for detecting the discharge of the hot water from the discharge port, object detecting means for transmitting propagation waves toward a detected object and determining the existence or not of the detected object on the basis of the reflection amount thereof, and solenoid valve driving means for driving the solenoid valve on the basis of the determination of the object detecting means. The object detecting means operates to more hardly determine the existence of the detected object during a time when the hot water discharge detecting means detects the discharge of the hot water than during a time when it does not detect the discharge of the hot water. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
