<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a building for allowing a worker to suitably do various work regarding electrical equipment in such a structure that the electrical equipment is stored in an attic space. <P>SOLUTION: A building 10 includes a habitable room space 11 and a non-habitable room space 12, the spaces 11, 12 being adjacent to each other. The non-habitable room space 12 is a low ceiling space section having a lowered ceiling formed in the ceiling part thereof, and an attic space 17 is formed above the low ceiling space section while extending in the direction along the ceiling surface of the lowered ceiling. In the building 10, a HEMS is constructed which has a HEMS body 28 and an expansion unit 27. The expansion unit 27 is installed in the attic space 17. A portion of the side surface part including the lateral side of the attic space 17 is a facing portion facing the habitable room space 11.
