<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a catadioptric system of which aberrations are sufficiently corrected over a whole range of visible light and which has a high resolution power over a wide imaging area. <P>SOLUTION: A catadioptric system includes in order from an object side: a first optical element having a light transmission part of positive refractive power having a convex surface on the object side and provided around an optical axis, and a rear surface reflection part in which a surface on the outer peripheral side of the light transmission part and on the object side is a reflection plane; and a second optical element of a meniscus shape with a concave surface facing the object side having a light transmission part of negative refractive power around the optical axis, and a rear surface reflection part in which a surface on the outer peripheral side of the light transmission part and on an image surface side is a reflection plane. Assuming that the radiuses of curvature of the object side surface and the image side surface of the second optical element are RM2a and RM2b, respectively, the thickness of the second optical element on the optical axis is t, the index of refraction of a material of the second optical element at a wavelength of 587.6 nm is Nd, and 1/(¾RM2b¾/2)-1/(¾RM2a¾+t)=1/s', ä(s'-t)xNd}/(Nd+1)=Rapl, Rapl×0.8<¾RM2a¾<Rapl×1.2 is satisfied. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
