The floor mop (1) comprises a vibrating structure (6), and a removable wiper carrier (7) to which a first wiper (8) is fixed. An adapter plate is attached to the wiper carrier, for holding another wiper. The second wiper has lower weight than that of the wiper (8). The adapter plate is arranged to compensate for the difference of weights of the wipers. The adapter plate is formed with a soft surface layer made of foam, for covering the second wiper and is associated with the peripheral edge for overreaching the wiper carrier.
