The actuator (1) has a flow connection (17) provided with a high pressure pump (16) in a pump conveyance direction (20). A set of flow connections (7, 14) connect control chambers (4, 25) separated by a control piston (24). Another set of flow connections (10, 21) and a hydraulic oil supply (19) are provided with a directional valve (18). The piston and/or a valve shaft (26) are driven by a return spring in a position, in which the valve and the piston are not collision-endangered. The spring is connected with the piston and/or the shaft in a force-fit or form-fit manner.
