<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent light being applied onto an ejection unit from being applied to a user. <P>SOLUTION: An image reading apparatus includes: a fed original tray 201 that is configured to be rotatable and on which an original is placed; transportation means 203 that transports the original placed on the fed original tray 201; image reading means 103 that reads an image of the original transported by the transportation means 203; an ejection tray 204 which is disposed under the fed original tray 201 to eject the original thereto with the image read by the image reading means 103; an illuminator 206 that applies light onto the ejection tray 204; and a stopping unit that stops the application of the light by the illuminator 206 in accordance with the rotation of the fed original tray 201. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
