<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new human protein called phosphatonin and isolated polynucleotides encoding this protein, to provide vectors, host cells, antibodies, and recombination methods for producing this human protein, and further to provide diagnostic and therapeutic methods useful for diagnosing and treating disorders related to this new human protein. <P>SOLUTION: The phosphatonin is isolated from a human tumor cell.
