<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processing device capable of communication between application programs at low cost. <P>SOLUTION: An information processing device which is connected to a bus for communication with external devices and executes a plurality of application programs includes: instruction execution means for executing instructions from the plurality of application programs; a controller for performing control on the basis of a communication protocol adopted for communication with the external devices; and a driver for controlling the controller. The driver includes: a plurality of interface units associated with the plurality of application programs; and a common processing unit for executing instructions from the plurality of application programs.
