<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a turning prediction device which predicts turning of a vehicle by a new method not conventionally available. <P>SOLUTION: A turning prediction device acquiring camera information from an image sensor mounted on a vehicle 10 to predict turning of the vehicle acquires position coordinates of a first light source during photographic imaging of the image sensor, position coordinates of a second light source, information indicating that the first light source is a light source of a preceding vehicle, and information indicating that the second light source is a light source of an oncoming vehicle as camera information when the preceding vehicle 20 and the oncoming vehicle 30 exist within a photographic range of the image sensor, and determines whether or not the first light source is present on the right side of the second light source on the basis of the camera information. When this determination is affirmative, it is determined that a curve exists in the travel direction of the own vehicle, and when the determination is negative, it is determined that the own vehicle is not scheduled to turn. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
