The muffle (1) has a carrier structure made from metal sheet, and a heat-permeable plate (25) i.e. glass ceramic plate, arranged between a heating element and an inner area of the muffle. A sticking gap is formed between the metal sheet and the plate and provided for gluing the plate with the metal sheet by an adhesive agent i.e. foam material. The metal sheet has a bending at a window-like opening. Lower and upper flaps are arranged in the sticking gap adjacent to the adhesive agent, where the bending is formed as an embossing step joint. Spring elements (30) are arranged at a welded bolt. The heating element is designed as an infrared heating element.
