The invention relates to a system and methods for storing and extracting information contained in a database. The technical result is an increase in dependability and response time with respect to database operations as a result of the use of an object paradigm for the organization and interaction of data. In the system, which comprises a processor and a machine-readable medium, all stored information, without exception, is encapsulated in the unified form of an object with a unique identifier (GUID) which is used to implement connections between objects. All relationships and connections between the objects in the system, including metadata objects, are strictly typed and based on the principle of bilateral mutual symmetry, thus providing rapid access to stored information by inbuilt natural navigation methods and also significantly broadening and deepening the system of internal rules that are automatically supported by a DBMS with regard to maintaining the logical and physical integrity of the data.
