<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid detergent composition having excellent bactericidal activity to Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus in a mild acidic to neutral region, further having excellent foaming, creamy properties of foam, and rinsing properties, and providing little skin irritation. <P>SOLUTION: The liquid detergent composition contains (A) 6-20 mass% of potassium polyoxyethylene alkyl ether sulfate, (B) a nonionic bactericidal agent, and (C) a potassium salt as a chelating agent, wherein the mass ratio (A/C) of the content of the component (A) to the content of the component (C) is 3-200.
