<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a circuit breaker that implements simple assembly of a drive mechanism part and movable contacts, and a compact and thin design of the drive mechanism part. <P>SOLUTION: The circuit breaker includes: a drive mechanism part 10 operatively interlocked with making/breaking motion of a handle; three movable contacts 3 each having a movable contact point 3a at one end portion of a conductor formed in a plate shape, and operatively interlocked with the drive mechanism part 10 to make/break a circuit; and fixed contacts each having a fixed contact point adapted for contact with the movable contact point 3a to form a state of contact/noncontact with the movable contact 3. The drive mechanism part 10 includes an ON mechanism part 10a for pressing the movable contacts 3 when the circuit is made, and an OFF mechanism part 10b for pressing the movable contacts 3 in the opposite direction to the pressing direction of the ON mechanism part 10a when the circuit is broken or when tripped.
