<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a switch device that prevents leakage, and spread of the leakage, of a sealant and ensures great ease of assembly. <P>SOLUTION: A switch device includes: a switch case 3 having a lead-out port 3b; a contact mechanism that opens and closes contacts provided in the switch case 3; and harnesses (conducting wires) 9 each having one end connected to a fixed contact and the other end led out to the outside of the switch case 3 through the lead-out port 3b. The respective one ends of the harnesses 9 connected to the respective fixed contacts are covered, and the lead-out port 3b of the switch case 3 and the vicinity thereof are sealed with a sealant 12. On an inner edge of the lead-out port 3b of the switch case 3, a holding portion 3C is formed that fixes respective led-out portions of the harnesses 9.
