<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that although work is carried out while a columnar structure is installed on a flat surface or stood against another structure in a conventional method, the columnar structure cannot be fixed in the conventional method and moves unstably during the work, thus causing risk with worsening of work efficiency and an accident. <P>SOLUTION: A variable columnar structure fixing device is constituted of a fixing device body part 1, a rotary mechanism part 2, a structure fixing part 3, and a locking part 4. The locking part 4 is unlocked to open the fixing device body part 1 by the rotary mechanism part 2, and a columnar structure is passed through the structure fixing part 3 to fix the columnar structure by the dead weights of the fixing device and the structure.
