<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a conveyance device and conveyance method, by which meander of a recording medium at the start of recording medium conveyance can be prevented even in the case where a wide recording medium or a large amount of recording medium is conveyed. <P>SOLUTION: In a conveyance device, before the start of the conveyance of a recording medium, an adjusting part is driven for the direction and amount of drive of the adjustment part, obtained according to a meander error at the start of the previous conveyance. Accordingly, in the conveyance device, before the start of the conveyance of a recording medium, the pressing force of a pressure roller on a heat roller in the axial direction of the heat roller is adjusted to a pressing force obtained according to the meaner error at the start of the previous conveyance. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
