A camera system (1) comprising a lens device (10) provided with imaging optics including a group of movable lenses (12), and a group of correction lenses (12, 14) for correcting optical performance of each part of an image by changing position in relation to an optical axis; and a camera body (40) provided with a designation unit (70) for designating a partial image of part of a region among images photographed by an imaging element (42), a memory unit (28) that has stored a data table associating optical performance of each part of an image and position information for each of the group of movable lenses and group of correction lenses, and a controller for finding the position of the group of correction lenses that increases the optical performance of the partial image designated by the designation unit on the basis of the data table in response to the lens position of the group of movable lenses, and causing the group of correction lenses to move to the desired position. |
