A method for husking oats while retaining the germ, involving 2-6 husking machines in series, the mechanical spindle speed of each husking machine being set at 400-650 rpm, and the power of each husking machine being controlled at 14.8-21 KW. The oat husking operation involves: the oat feed to be husked is introduced into a feed assembly of a husking machine; a propeller inside the feed assembly, under the drive of a power device, conveys the oat feed into a husking chamber between an abrasive roll assembly and an abrasive plate; in the husking chamber the oat feed moves in a downward spiral under the drive of the abrasive roll assembly; and during the process of moving in a downward spiral, the husks of the oats in the oat feed are removed by means of the action of the abrasive roll assembly and the abrasive plate, and the oat grains are discharged out of a discharge outlet, and enter the husking machine of the next stage. By reducing the running speed of the husking machine 20%-40%, the husking time is extended, enabling the oat grain to be kept whole and the germ to be retained, while also guaranteeing husking results. |
