A non-rotating universal joint (10) for a helicopter drive unit has a spider defined by a ring (30), which has four connecting portions (31) spaced 90° apart and engaging respective forks (15) defining the ends of respective arms (14) of two connecting members (11, 12) which, in use, are fixed with respect to a casing (6) of an engine (2) and a casing (7) of a reduction gear (3); each fork (15) and the corresponding connecting portion (31) have respective through holes (19, 20, 32) coaxial with one another and engaged by a screw (34); and dampers (55) are interposed between the connecting portions (31) of the ring (30) and the shanks (39) of the screws (34), and between the connecting portions (31) of the ring (30) and the forks (15). |
