<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyurethane driving belt which decreases the coefficient of friction on a belt surface, improves the sliding performance of the belt with respect to a pulley, and suppresses sounding, over a long period of time, and to provide a method for making the belt. <P>SOLUTION: This belt body 2 comprises a polyurethane elastomer which is added with a lubricant (grease) 5. In the belt body, the belt surface 3, as a contact surface with the pulley, comprises a tiny concave-convex portion 6 which repeatedly rises and falls in the length and width directions of the belt surface 3, with the arithmetic mean roughness of the belt surface 3 ranging from 4 to 25 microns. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
