<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an overcurrent tripping device which improves the workability for welding a bi-metal to a support conductor and inhibits variations from occurring in the positional relationship after welding. <P>SOLUTION: A thermal type overcurrent tripping device includes a bi-metal heated by an overcurrent and a support conductor 14 joined to the bi-metal. In the overcurrent tripping device, an elongated hole 14a, into which one end of the bi-metal is inserted, and protrusions 14b, which are provided in the vicinity of the elongated hole and protrude from a surface of the support conductor, where the elongated hole is formed, are formed at the support conductor. The bi-metal is temporarily fixed to the support conductor by inserting one end thereof into the elongated hole and caulking the protrusions, and the bi-metal and the support conductor are joined to each other by welding a portion temporarily fixed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
