<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a damper capable of selecting liquid poor in lubrication for a working fluid. <P>SOLUTION: In order to achieve the pupose, the damper D comprises: a cylinder 1; a piston 2 slidably inserted into the cylinder 1 and defines two pressure chambers R1, R2 in the cylinder 1; a piston rod 3 connected to the piston 2; and a seal member 4 for sealing the outer periphery of the piston rod 3. The damper is also characterized in that a region opposing the seal member 4 is set as a neutral part C when the piston 2 is in a neutral position in the piston rod 3, and there is arranged a small-diameter part 3a formed by making an external peripheral diameter in a prescribed axial range L including the neutral part C in the piston rod 3 smaller than external peripheral diameters at both-end sides of the piston rod 3. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
