<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a high-quality image even in capturing a dynamic image while securing sufficient autofocus performance. <P>SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus includes an imaging unit in which imaging pixels are arranged two-dimensionally and plural focus detection pixels are arranged in part of the arrangement, a reading unit which reads a first pixel and the focus detection pixels of the imaging pixels from the imaging unit for a first period and reads a second pixel and the focus detection pixels of the imaging pixels for a second period, a dynamic image processing unit for generating a dynamic image on the basis of the first and second pixels read by the reading unit, and a focus control unit which performs focus control of the imaging unit on the basis of the focus detection pixels read by the reading unit. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
