<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an auxiliary power supply device for a vehicle which can use regenerative power efficiently by controlling voltage and current at the time of charge/discharge of a capacitor to improve fuel consumption of the vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: An auxiliary power supply device for a vehicle 16 is connected in parallel with an electric generator 2 interlocking with an engine 1 and a battery 15 and has a capacitor 8 which stores electric power for supplying it to a load 3. The auxiliary power supply device for a vehicle comprises: first voltage detection means 4 for detecting a value of output voltage of the electric generator 2 and the battery 15; a first converter 10 for converting the output voltage to charge the capacitor 8; a switch SW1 for contacting/separating between the electric generator 2 and the first converter 10 and between the battery 15 and the first converter 10; a second converter 11 for converting the output voltage of the capacitor 8 to output the converted voltage to the load 3 relevant to drive of the engine 1; and second voltage detection means 6 for detecting the output voltage of the second converter 11. When a voltage value detected by the first voltage detection means 4 is higher than a predetermined value, the switch SW1 is turned on to activate the first converter 10. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
