The device (34) has a measuring unit (10) for measuring a parameter of a light beam reflected at an ice layer (12) frozen at a component (14) i.e. rotor blade (15), of a wind power plant. A control unit (16) calculates a parameter i.e. thickness (D), of the ice layer from a value of the parameter of the light beam and from a value of a parameter of a measuring light beam from which the reflected light beam arises through reflection. The measuring light beam is continuously produced by a pulsed laser (24) during operation of the wind power plant, and comprises individual pulses. An independent claim is also included for a wind power plant icing measuring method. |
