<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a POS system allowing addition of a new function without changing an application program of an existing POS system. <P>SOLUTION: In an existing POS terminal device 30, at least one of connection ports 21a-23a of the POS terminal device 30 already connected to any one of a POS printing unit 34, an input unit 32 and a display unit 33 is connected to corresponding connection ports 21b-23b of an input-output control unit 12. Input units or the like 32-34 originally connected to the connection ports 21a-23a of the POS terminal device 30 are connected to a corresponding connection port of the input-output control unit 12. The input-output control unit 12 is further connected to an additional function supply server 50. The input-output control unit 12, when relaying data between the input units or the like 32-34 and the POS terminal device 30, monitors received data, and when detecting information satisfying a predetermined condition (verification condition), notifies the additional function supply server 50 and receives supply of an additional function. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
