<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology for allowing various food materials including fresh food to be baked or steamed while keeping moisture. <P>SOLUTION: A package 1 for food includes a container 6 having a housing space 60 for a food material 2, and a heat generating element 4 that generates heat by absorbing microwave to heat the food material 2. The container 6 is provided with an opening 61 for housing the food material 2, and a cover 62 for closing the opening 61.
