<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a user to recognize functions that can be provided by an information processing apparatus when the information processing apparatus is set to a normal mode, and to enable a user to obtain at least one of information related to the user and information related a location where the information processing apparatus is installed when the information processing apparatus is set to an emergency mode. <P>SOLUTION: Either of a normal mode or an emergency mode can be set to an information processing system 10. A normal information providing unit 22 provides information that shows functions of an apparatus itself when set to the normal state.
