<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform excellent photometry, while suppressing a decrease in accuracy of AF control. <P>SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus includes first storage means photoelectrically converting a subject image to store charge, and outputting a signal corresponding to the stored charge, second storage means different from the first storage means which photoelectrically converts the subject image to store charge, and outputs a signal corresponding to the stored charge, defocus amount calculation means calculating a defocus amount on the basis of the signal outputted from the first storage means, photometry calculation means calculating a photometric value on the basis of the signal outputted from the second storage means, and determination means determining a storage time of the second storage means. The determination means sets an upper limit value on the basis of the storage time of the first storage means and determines a storage time of the second storage means, so as not to exceed the upper limit value, when determining a storage time of the second storage means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
