<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of a conventional noncontact input device using a virtual key such as a head mount display which requires a motion sensor and high precision image recognition processing for detecting key operation. <P>SOLUTION: A noncontact input device detects three or more finger tips from a hand photographic image, displays the fingers while allotting a virtual key to each finger and detects the execution of key operation on the basis of relative positions of the fingers. The virtual keys are allotted and displayed without using motion sensors mounted on a touch panel or fingers and without moving a hand (fingers) to the position of the virtual keys.
